DIRI believes that digital rights education should be accessible to every young Ugandan, regardless of the language they are most comfortable with. That is why we offer selected lessons and key explanations in local languages.
Available Languages
- Luganda — Widely spoken in Central Uganda, including Kampala.
- Runyankole-Rukiga — Spoken in South-Western Uganda.
- Acholi — Spoken in Northern Uganda.
- Ateso — Spoken in Eastern Uganda.
More languages will be added over time. If you would like to contribute translations, please contact us.
How It Works
Learning cards — Core lessons appear with side-by-side or toggleable translations in the selected local language.
Mr. DIRI chatbot — You can ask questions in your local language and get responses in the same language.
Quiz questions — Key quiz challenges are offered in multiple languages so language is not a barrier to testing your knowledge.
Select your preferred language from the language picker on any lesson page or in your profile settings.
